Gutter and roofline work
- Gutter cleaning
Moss, leaves and silt cleared out of the gutters and the outlets, so rain goes down the pipe instead of over the edge.
- Blocked and overflowing gutters
Cleared, and the reason a run keeps blocking looked at while we are up there.
- Leaking joints and sagging runs
Joints remade and runs refixed so they fall to the outlet again.
- New guttering
A run that is past repairing replaced with new guttering.
- Fascias and soffits
Rotten timber boards replaced in uPVC, done as a set with the guttering so the new gutter is not fixed to rot.
- Small jobs
One leaking joint or one blocked outlet is a job we will come out for.
Gutters are the smallest part of a roof and the part that does the most damage when they fail. A gutter packed with moss and leaves overflows in the first heavy shower, and that water runs down the face of the wall instead of the pipe, soaking the brickwork or the render, rotting the fascia board the gutter hangs from and, given a winter or two, showing up as damp on the inside wall. A joint that has parted does the same in one place, usually right over a door. So a gutter call is worth making even when it looks like a small job, and it is one we are glad to take. Clearing out a blocked run is often all it needs. Where the boards behind have rotted, there is no point screwing new guttering to them, so the fascia and soffit are replaced in uPVC first and the gutter goes back up on sound board. Everything is priced in writing before we start, whether that is clearing one gutter or a whole new roofline.
New boards are colour matched to your windows and doors.

Gutter jobs, start to finish
A photo from the ground
A photo of the overflowing corner or the sagging run, taken from the garden, is a good start.
A look at the boards
We check the gutter, the joints and the fascia it hangs from, because rotten timber changes the job.
One written price
Cleaning, repair or replacement, priced in writing before anything starts.
Cleared up after
Old guttering, old boards and whatever comes out of the gutters goes away with us.
Gutter work across our area
We clear and replace gutters on the original runs along Catford's Edwardian terraces, under the big trees of Chislehurst, and on 1930s semis right across Bromley, Petts Wood, Sidcup, Bexley and Eltham.
Beckenham, Blackheath, Lewisham, Lee, Hither Green, Sydenham, Penge, Mottingham and Bellingham are covered as well. Not on that list? It costs nothing to ask.
Gutter and fascia questions
Do you just clean gutters?
Yes. A gutter clean on its own is a job we take. If we spot a split joint or a rotten board while we are up there, you are told and shown a photo, with no pressure to have it done.
Why does my gutter overflow when it is not blocked?
Usually the run has sagged and no longer falls to the outlet, or a joint has dropped. Refixing the brackets so it falls the right way often cures it.
Should fascias and soffits be done with the gutters?
If the boards are rotten, yes, because a new gutter is only as secure as the board it is screwed to. If they are sound, the gutter can be done on its own.
What are new fascias and soffits made of?
uPVC, colour matched to your windows and doors, so they do not need painting.
Is there a minimum job size?
No. One blocked outlet or one leaking joint is worth a call.
